Swiss Ephemeris and the astrology engine

Every chart, transit, panchang and forecast on this site is computed by the Swiss Ephemeris (© Astrodienst AG, Switzerland), through the pyswisseph binding, using its built-in Moshier analytical ephemeris. The astrology layer on top of it is the vedic-astrology skill.

Both are licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3. Because this service runs that software over a network, AGPL section 13 gives every user of this service the right to receive the complete corresponding source code.

Action required before launch. That source offer has to be real: either publish the complete corresponding source and link it here, or obtain a Swiss Ephemeris Professional Licence from Astrodienst AG, which releases you from the AGPL obligations for a closed-source commercial product. Running this publicly without doing one of the two is a licence breach. This page is where the link belongs once the choice is made.

Geographical data

City names, coordinates and timezones come from a derivative of the GeoNames cities15000 dataset, © GeoNames, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. CC-BY-4.0 requires this attribution to be visible to you, which is why it is on a page rather than in a comment.
